I love vanilla bean ice cream with real maple syrup on top. Just though I'd share.

Perhaps my love of all things maple is a product of me being a New Englander? And yes, you can have some fudge too.

Maybe being a southerner is why I like cane syrup? Well chocolate is universal isn't it?

I actually prefer dark chocolate, the darker the better in my book. I think it's pretty rare to find somebody that doesn't like some form of chocolate.

Cane syrup's not bad, but what does sorghum syrup taste like?

Sorghum is a grain like corn. A cereal grass. I don't think I have ever had it but I bet it would be a lot like dark Karo. Maybe Kats is still up and can describe it.

yummm, here I am wondering what can I have and you go and mention Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and someone else says "HOT FUDGE". Dang. Got the Hot Fudge but no ice cream.

YUM SORGHUM!!! There is a home cookin place by us that has the BEST home made biscuits. On the table is a bottle of honey and one of sorghum. My desert is a biscuit w/ sorghum. Sorghum is REALLY REALLY rich but all natural and really good. It is dark in color and EXTREMELY THICK! Ever hear the term, "slow as molasses" or "thick as sorghum"? Sorghum is THICK and pours very slow. It doesn't have a strong taste though. It is simple goodness. It is actually supposed to be better for you than honey for those that have to watch what they eat for their heart since it is all natural. Sorghum syrup made from cane sorghum is made by squeezing the juice from the cane and cooking off the excess water to obtain a sweet, sticky syrup - a delicacy in many parts of the country. It has many uses - a primary one being spread on hot biscuits at breakfast. And it is often used as a sweetener in cooking breads and other foods Here is some info on Sorghum:
