Does anyone know if it would "work" if I just make arborio rice in a rice cooker, just like any other rice?
Meaning, just adding water...?
I don't want to make risotto, so I don't want to put butter, olive oil, wine, broth, Parmesan, etc... in. I just want to add water to the rice and have "normal" rice, but with arborio.
I'm a rice snob. I only like short grain anything. I prefer short grain brown rice, but I can NEVER find it...and when I do, it's like quadruple the price. Blah.

LOL... it's been pretty quiet on the Artie poop front, hasn't it? Meanwhile, I think he's due for anal sac expressing soon, unless he's able to do it naturally in the next few days.
That's really a bad topic for the food forum, isn't it? Anal sacs, I mean.
