that was on tv a couple of months ago. It had some Hawaiian/Japanese chefs competing outdoors. They were judged on presentation and the food. These guys were funny and so creative. They were rolling knives off their necks, spinning silverware, simulated a volcano, cracking jokes, etc. It was right along the beach i believe. Not sure if it was in Maui or not. I tried Googling, but nothing came up. I went to the Food Network site , but i couldn't find it, though i'm not sure if it was even on it. Surely, someone here has probably seen this episode. There were three judges sitting in front of them while they were cooking. The winner was a chef on that local island i believe. Please let me know. I wanted to check it out again. Thanks.

It was on Food TV and the series is called Food Netword Challenge. As for the episode, I cannot help you with that. However, like all cable shows, it will repeat 5-10 times over the course of a year.
