This place is vile. I have been two 3 different locations. Each and every time, the service is awful and the food is gross. I have put them on my boycott list but so many of my friends love this place. I don't understand why when there are so many other alternatives.

Do you enjoy this place?

I don't like any of the franchised restaurants like TGIF, Applebees, Chili's, etc. They all taste the same and the food isn't that great. I prefer the family owned restaurant, especially the ethic foods restaurants.

My kids in their late teens & friend in their early 20's love these restaurants..

Kind of like a McDonalds for the older crowd..

Are a lot of the chain restaurants (T.G.I's, Applebees, Olive Garden, P.F. Chang's) using processed crap in their food?

A lot of local, well-respected, independent restaurants would use fresh stuff.

I have TGI Friday's in the same mental category as Olive Garden, Chili's, Macaroni Grill, and the like. Which is just 1/2 notch above Denny's, Sizzler's and Coco's.

My understanding is that relatively none of the food is actually prepared in the restaurants' kitchens - the food arrives already prepared and they just heat and assemble. Obviously this doesn't apply to salads, but you get the drift. It's all about QC and consistency.

Barf.

I haven't been in one for years so I can't speak for the food....the last couple of times I went the music was too loud (it was lunch so I don't get that - happy hour I could understand). The service was awful also - I ordered a Cobb salad - it came missing several of the ingredients because "they were out"....why didn't they tell me that before they served it so that I could order something else? End result? Never returned.

Agreed. I have been to Chili's and TGIF three times total in the last 7 or so years (friends have wanted to meet there) In all 3 instances despite looking at the menu over and over hoping to find something tasty (or in the last instance reasonably healthy) all 3 times have ordered water or a diet coke. As for Applebees - I just wont even agree to go - at all.

Haven't been to Friday's in many years-we only went there because our son was a server. Don't remember much but food ok not stellar.

But yet our daughter (19) and her friends love it!-I guess it's really for younger people (who don't know any better-lol)
