I had two of them a 1977 and a 1978. Cute little trucks that both had the 2.3 liter Ford engine, same one found in Pintos, Mustangs and Fairmonts.

Anyone else owned one or know of someone who did? What did you think of them?

I picked one up from a guy who needed money, he had put a 351w, auto and a 9 inch in it. It was a lot of fun.
I had a friend that bought them and fixed them up, they were tough little trucks.

I do remember them but I've never owned one. And yes, they were made by Mazda.

Yes I do, I actually rode in a 1974 Ford Courier pickup last spring, they were cute little pickups, you don't see alot of the Ford Courier pickups around anymore.

How tough were these little trucks?

The two I owned had some serious rust issues. I've yet to find a Courier that wasn't a cancer bucket. Were these little trucks just prone to rust?

I still remember my half uncle making fun of my 78, he was trying to point out how it had a "little bitty ass heater" and now "I'd freeze my ass off that winter." Then he tried pointing out the sheet metal used was thinner than most other vehicles made at the time.
