Well you wanted a 92, but close enough. You know that color actually works on the Town Car. Probably the 2nd best turquoise from the 90s amongst all the bad ones.
I hope that green color brings you fortune to get more "green" meaning $$$.
My father had a 1995 Signature Series when it was new for a short bit and my brother had a 1992 Signature Series years ago and I think that the 1992 had better seats and plusher carpet than in the later years IMO.
Anyway, I hope that you enjoy your Town Car with no troubles and in good health!
Thanks. Well I originally wanted a 1990-94 model, particularly a 1990 model with the 5.0L. I thought too that the 90-94s seemed to have better seats, at least the Signature and Cartier as opposed to the 95-up models, but now that I have the 95, it seems as plush to me as the 90-94, but the 90-94 Signature seems to appear to have more supportive seats than any other Town Car, but the one in my 95 seem fine and the ride, well, WOW. Carpeting on mine is identical to a 93 I was looking at, so that may be the same... the Executive may have used lesser quality carpets... not sure.
Naturally after I sold the Caprice, someone in IL wanted to trade me a 90 Town Car Signature Series for my Caprice... I would have traded if I had of not sold the Caprice, but the 95 I have now is nicer than that 90 is.
Does anyone know why the 1990 mustang with the 5.0 made 225 horsepower, but the 1990 Town Car with the same engine only made 150?
I have often wondered the same thing. You would think since the 1990 Mustang weighed about 3100 and the 1990 Town Car weighed 4200 that it would have the higher HP. Was it possible that the Mustang with the 5.0L had dual exhausts maybe was one reason it had higher HP? Dont think it would have made that much of a difference though. I know that the engines appear to be absolutely identical. In 91 the Town Car switched to the 4.6L which went up to what, 205 hp?

the 5.0HO had better flowing heads a better upper and lower intake manifold and more aggresive roller cam better breathing exhaust maifolds and a true dual exhaust.
Non-HO passcar engines are basically copies of the '86 Mustang HO motor. They have the same crappy E6SE heads, cast versions of the flat-top-no valve relief-pistons, same restrictive upper intake, and smaller 58mm t-body. The lower is the same as all '86-'95 HO's.

Ahha, I see. That explains it then. I was thinking it was something internally in the engine. Thats why some 455 GM engines are faster than others.
I am sure even when new that the 5.0HO in the Mustang was a louder engine too. The Town car is hushed. I cant even hear my Town Car run (but it has the 4.6L). Its very hushed.

Yes, the Town Cars are very quiet.
Sometimes, the only sound I hear is the wind rushing past the windshield. When that is the loudest noise heard, you know you have a quiet car!
