Supposedly my HAFA is approved, we have a offer on the house, and BofA responded through equator to my agent "insufficient" or something.
He called them up and said "usually banks give a counter offer"
He told them he thinks the offer is in line for comps in the neighborhood, and faxed them to them, and they said they would try to manually input them, and respond in 7 days.
The guy who is with REDC running my HAFA will not return my or my agents calls.
In the meantime, the buyer is waiting.
Would'nt they want to tell us what they want/need so we can see if the buyer will agree, or if not we can re-list the property?
As for non-returned phone calls, that's nothing new as well.
Those are just some of the issues when dealing with banks on short sales - they've got way too many properties and way too little people/time to deal with them in a timely manner. (I know - I'm in one as well - although the seller's HAFA was turned down. I'm on the buyer side of the table, and we're STILL waiting.)
I'm not sure if your line in regards to 'insufficient' means that the whole deal kicked out of Equator, and everything has to be re-uploaded? (basically starting almost from square one?)
Grab another cup of patience and sit tight. At least with the Equator system, they're not 'losing' as much paperwork as in the old way of doing things and things are progressing a little bit faster!
Unfortunately, you are dealing with simple incompetence combined with likely a backlog of similar cases.
