Hi-

I put it an offer on a foreclosure over a week ago and haven't heard anything back from the bank. The bank's agent just keeps saying that he hasn't heard anything and that the bank's are backed up so it takes awhile.

Is it possible the bank is sitting on the offer to see if they get any other offers? Should I be pushing my agent to press the seller's agent a little more? Is it even possible to put a little pressure on the bank?

Thanks.

The offers we have put on bank owned homes we heard back the next day (always have been multiple offers of course in our case). Usually they are fast, maybe the listing agent is holding for more, which I think is bs myself. I would have your agent put pressure on the listing agent like you said.

Thanks, Norsky.

I just called my agent and they accepted our offer! I guess in this case it was the bank was just backlogged.

Congrats! That's great news!
About 2 months ago I made an offer on a bank foreclosure and the listing agent held my full-price offer while she worked on someone else to provide an offer above the asking price.
