I'm a potential CSU grad student. As such, I came here looking for information on Fort Collins (Thank you to everyone that posts in this forum). As I was looking through the archives, I noticed that there used to be a Fort Collins photo thread, but it has vanished. I've looked at a few other city threads and I am amazed by all the wonderful pictures the users post of their cities.

If you have any pictures of Fort Collins (and surrounding area), please post them in this thread.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting these. I'm thinking of moving there from Tucson, and these photos give me a real sense of the differences between the two places. so much green grass and trees......

Great photos! Really makes me miss the area. I know I have a few photos of the downtown area, I'll see if I can find them.

Very nice photos of Fort Collins. I am surprised this thread is so limited and hasn't gotten a sticky. I am sure people have many photos of the area.

Here are a couple of winter shots I had on my computer. One shot is an overview of the city in early January of 2006, and the other is of Old Town at night in early December of 2009.

I hope you realize that those trees and lawns only survive because of irrigation. The average annual precipitation of Ft. Collins is not much higher then Tucson (14-15" per year vs. 11-12" per year). Please don't move here expecting green - the environment pays a price when so many people feel the urgent need to make our city look like something out of the Midwest.
