Absolutely. Colorado State has a highly-regarded atmospheric science department. One of their emeritus professors, Dr. William Gray, is widely known for his yearly hurricane predictions.

Thank you so much. I might try there. The only other place besides CSU is a school in Greeley. Iv'e read about alot of bad things in Greeley including that there are lots of drug dealers.

While it may be true that Greeley has a higher rate of drug dealing than other cities, the fact of the matter is that every city has drug dealers...especially college towns.
Certainly go where you feel it best fits you. But my recommendation would be to look at both schools completely identifying both pros and cons for each and then make your decision...not just based on "what you heard about".

From what I know, Colorado State's department only has a Graduate School program in atmospheric science. They do, however, teach one undergrad level course without pre-requisites that is pretty good, but all other courses are geared towards graduate study and have extensive math and physics pre-requisites that you'd have to take first.
