Dentadent, i PM'd you awhile ago. Did you check out the townhouses i mentioned? Private owners are the best way to go, no large communities, no HOA's.

I live at Port Royale. They have a bit of a bug infestation problem with the ground units - or pardon, not a bit - a HUGE problem they can't seem to solve. My neighbors above me don't have bug problems tho..... Anyways - they say they have some breed restrictions - but they dont enforce them. There is no size limit and my neighbor has a german shepard, there are at least 2 more in the building. There are 3 pitbulls in the building. I asked one of the pitbull owners and she said they never asked to meet the dog and that she told them she had an American Staffordshire Terrier - looks just like a pit though. I've seen rent listed as low at 890/month for a small one bedroom and as high as 1500 for a 2/2. good luck - animals are so important and south florida just doesn't have enough animal friendly homes

I found several private renters on craigslist, its free for them and they dont have to pay comission. But at the condo i lived at, i found that through a realtor. I even drove around looking through neighborhoods i liked for "for rent" signs.

I am having the same issue trying to find an apartment to rent in Pembroke Pines or Miramar that will allow my pitbull mix. Does anyone have any referrals? Much appreciated...
