These condos look very nice. Does anyone know anything about them and any pros and cons?

They are VERY nice but also very expensive. The location is outstanding. It all depends what your budget is. Are you buying or renting?

I am looking at buying. I really need to be in SE Ft Lauderdale, so I am looking in an area east of Federal Hwy and south of Las Olas. I can probably manage 4K a month for mortgage, taxes and HOA. I also have 2 small dogs (papillons) and I have found that there are pet restrictions in a lot of the condos. NuRiver Landings looked like it might work on all levels.

Beautiful building. I know they had issues with the roof a few years ago, but pretty sure that's been fixed. Not as expensive as some of the other high rises (such as The Grand) that it is adjacent to. The building is right next to the Main Jail, so an entire side of the building gets the jail as their balcony view. But on the inside, it is nothing but luxury.

If it is within your budget, it is an excellent choice. You can find cheaper options on the beach in terms of beach condos and there are other Las Olas buildings you can check out that may be cheaper. But you sort of get what you pay for in Las Olas.

I almost bought in to NuRiver. Don't invest there. The area around it is going downhill fast. Bums and seedy people are multiplying from the recent 15.000.00 Haitians from asylum. Many of these Haitians are not employed and have criminal backgrounds back in Haiti. The building, inside is VERY nice. But why live in in a palace when the outside is almost 3rd worldish? You should rent only. I invested and regret it so much. I'm in West Palm now looking to move again, but have 2nd home near NuRiver.

The area around NuRiver is not a bad one. It is close to main jail, but the notion that there are "15,000 Haitians" in that area is completely absurd.

Yeah that's a gross exaggeration. It is true there are lots of bums around downtown Fort Lauderdale, but they don't really congregate around Nu River. South FL has always has problems with crime. Its no worse now than at anytime during the past 20-30 years. If anything, the area around Nu River is improving because more buildings are going up and more working/affluent people are moving into the area. The best part of Nu River is you can walk to nightlife and take public transportation to the beaches. The building itself is nice.
