Greetings...
I'm looking at possibly buying a condo in the Pine Island Ridge area of Davie and was wondering if that area gets much noise from airplanes flying to and from FLL. Does anyone have an opinion, or experience with this? I appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

Landing - probably yes. But the landing noise is not that bad. They are quite low though on their glide path over this area. But for the most part, they don't glide directly over Pine Ridge.

TakeOffs - mostly no. Planes gain altitude and turn away from Davie before this area.

I have spent a lot of time at Bamford Park in Davie. I would not live in that area because I find the airplane noise to be really really annoying.

Used to own and rent a condo in Pine Island Ridge about 20 years ago. Noticed some noise occasionally when I was outside. Never heard anything inside. Was considering buying in Forest Ridge which is just to the south of PIR and thought there was much more airplane noise there than at PIR.

Thank you all so much for your input. I like the area, but I remember my visiting my grandmother's house near MIA and whenever a plane was overhead we couldn't hear each other speak. I don't imagine PIR is that bad though. I guess I should just go to dinner in the area and hear for myself.
Much appreciated!

Since the new runway opened at FLL, flight paths may have changed. I'm not sure if this affects west Broward as much as the Dania area though.
