I heard he got fired the other day. Does anyone care?

I listened to him a handful of times, but could never get into his show. I found him to be very dry and unfunny. All he did was complain about everyone and everything in a very non-humorous way and read these silly polls taken on the internet. All I hear is how he used to be the greatest thing since hotcakes, but that they censored him. Does anyone actually think that he is funny, or was funny back in the day before they censored him?

If the reports are accurate, he took a buyout that will allow him to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

Agree with the above assessment of his humor. I used to listen to him a lot when I moved here in the late '80s and he was funnier then. He's gotten increasingly bitter and mean-spirited in recent years even though he had a deal from the radio station that most people would die for (he was allowed to do his show from Toronto because of his distaste for South Florida and got several months of vacation time along with a huge salary). Still, as indicated by the ratings, a lot of people listened to his show and will miss him.

And believe it or not, he did "serious" talk radio shows and even some sportscasting in his early days and was very good at both.

Back in the day he was great. Smart, witty and funny. He began to come off as bitter and angry. I haven't heard him in ages, as I now live in another area.

South Florida spawned so many really great radio hosts. He was one of them. How sad that he didn't make it to the top, ala Larry King, who is a national treasure today.
