Which school APD? Generally speaking, the middle schools on the east coast are not good. But right now is no time to be picky. If she is offered the job, she should grab it, and worry about transferring out later.

Pretend to be a parent and get the PTA contact and call them.

I have a friend who teaches at a not great high school here and loves it. Sometimes the teacher gets more leeway at a school that isn't rated as high.

I live on the east side, but my son isn't old enough to attend middle school yet. He'll be starting VPK in a few weeks at an A rated school where we'll be very involved with the SAB and PTA. I'm kinda afraid when he's old enough to go to middle school. Not so much with high school. Going to test him to get into Pompano Beach High School. That's a very good high school anywhere in this state.

There really aren't many public school jobs available in Broward county right now. If there is a job offer on the table take it. Schools in Pompano are generally not good (except for Pompano High).

McNab Elementary seems pretty good, fwiw, as does Crestview Elementary. But I know little about the middle schools.
