I still don't know why so many people write Fort Meyers to the name of the city. I have never, ever seen any other name of a city in America so misspelled, I still have to see something like Tempa or Austen.

Lol, OP. I hear you! I've lived in both Ft. Myers and Columbia, so I understand!
I looked at those lists, and don't see Columbia on them, so I can imagine how often those other cities are misspelled. It's easy to see how people could have trouble with some of them, e.g., Albuquerque.

Because if I wrote the things about a town that you do I wouldn't live there and if I didn't live there I wouldn't care what happened there.

Marty, there are some folks on this forum who use bold text, stupid emoticons, insulting dialects and lame nicknames to try to get their point across because they lack the intelligence to communicate their point effectively. In fact, rarely do they even have a point to communicate. Do yourself a favor and just ignore them.

I live here, lots of things need to change that's all.
And I am one of the only regular people that post here that also live here full time. Many other are just transients and some that post here do not live here at all but post as if they do.

And some get really upset when somebody tell's the truth about a place, the way it really is, it bother them tremendously.

Where I come from telling the truth is not a problem, it is the right thing to do. No matter how ugly or beautiful.

I have seen many place that have changed for the better once the truth has been told and people become aware of it.

Many times the hateful replies and attacks by other posters is a sign that I am telling the truth some individuals get very very mad at the messenger and it shows, but it is still the truth.
