Hello all!

I will be moving to Ft. Worth this year and need some advice on what areas are best to live in. I'm single so I don't want anything too expensive but also don't want to live in a dangerous area. I currently live in East Texas and the town I live in is really small, so I know it's going to be a big change. I was also wanted to know what kind of things there are to do to meet new people and what kind of nightlife is around the area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!

We need to know budget, where you will be working, and desired commute times before we can recommend specific locations in Fort Worth.

i would second that. if you can afford 1000-1500 a month for a 1 bedroom, i would suggest off west 7th. the elan just opened up and have 400 apartments to fill. they likely will make a deal. if you want to spend 750-1000 for a one bedroom, i would consider "the berkley" (it's off of university). many of the nurses at the hospital like to live there. stay away from the east part of town in general.

the city is so spread out that if you need to work above loop, you should move up there or you'll hate your commute
