I have never seen this type sign in my tow before. I am curious, do they buy things w/ coupons?? Or, exchange coupons?? Anyone know...Thanks for any input.
I see such garage sale ads on Craigslist all the time.
They set up their yard sale with regular yard sale items like books, toys, and have a table or two full of items they got with coupons.
Some coupons and sales can save 75%-80%, so a resale can make a few dollars.
It depends on how much time they have to do all of that, to make 50 cents on some items they got with coupons.
Those of you who might go to some of these yard sales need to make sure you look at the expiration dates on the grocery items you buy.
Thank you all so much. This makes sense. I had thought they were selling items for you to purchase w/ coupons....lol
Good tip howard....Appreciate all the CD folks who are wiser than me

Hi JanND--
It means they got a ton of coupons together, used a website that aggregated information about store sales, combined them with the coupons to buy hundreds of things they don't need at a fire-sale price (sometimes even free) and are now unloading their stuff to turn a profit.
While technically not legal from a tax standpoint for the seller, it's a great way to get cheap stuff - since even you, the buyer, can probably get stuff for half price or better without doing all their legwork.

And usually why it's out of stock when you go to buy something you legitimately need.
yes, but if it was out of stock and on sale for $5 and the couponer who got it for free with Qs is selling it to you at the yard sale for $2, i think it's a better deal all around that way.
Thanks so much for all the explanations...it really helped. Next time I'll roll in and check for some bargains
Anyone have an example of the best thing they've ever picked up at a garage sale...or w/ couponing???
Best deal with couponing? Loads of 'em. The stores pay me to walk out with their stuff.
