Do you return your bottles for the refund? I looked closely at my receipt and became annoyed by the extra $1.20 I had to pay. I starting returning them today and I will continue to do so. I saw a man today with God knows how many beer bottles. The daily limit is $12.00. I wonder how much money I have thrown down the toilet over the years.

Not all states mandate Return for Deposit bottles. If you weren't returning them previously were you at least recycling them?

Yes, I pay about $150 a year for the bottle deposits. It's a big hassle to return them, but I need the $150. Are you using a machine to return your bottles? Here the limit is $35 a day, but I don't even know what the point of that is. When you get to $35, the machine prints out the receipt. I just push the button again and start feeding in more bottles. A few months ago I returned over $90 worth at one time. I just took the three receipts to the cash machine to redeem them. The daily limit is a complete joke.

Yes, it is the same process. It was closed this morning. I gave customer service the bottles and the rep gave me the cash. The sign said $12. I do not know. Why do you let it pile up? I think weekly is manageable.

I wish I could get $150 per year. I do not spend enough. I want a designer bag.

Yes, I return mine. I wait until I have full bags of aluminum cans or plastic bottles, and then take them to a local recycler.

The bottle center is over 100 miles away from me. It costs me about $20 in gas. So it's not cost effective for me to make the drive weekly. A couple two, three times a year is enough.

They probably don't really care if you return more than $12 worth in one day. They probably just don't want someone bringing an entire truck full at one time.

Of course I do, it is my money & I want it back. There is no limit at our local facility & it is close by, but we only go several times a year, do not buy much soda. & I use a metal water holder, etc.

Wow! Why not take it back to where you bought it.

I bag them and give them to the kids on a bottle drive for some cause every year.

I think what's happened has been returning bottles for deposit has now been mixed in with taking them to a recycler.
