Advertisements

Do you ever see anything advertised on TV that makes you wish you had one? Or can you watch hour after hour after hour, without ever seeing an ad for anything you could possibly imagine wanting?

How does it make you feel, knowing that huge fortunes are being made by enticing people to buy things that no thinking organism could possibly desire?

Even the beer ads don't tempt me, because they all pitch that Light crap. Although, I admit, sometimes a pizza looks good. But certainly not the bread sticks that come with it.

These are not advertisements at all. What they are is pure propaganda to make you think like they want you to so you will buy.

In other words......brain washing the public for commercial profit!

No -- never. Sometimes I find them fascinating when they are just too way out there.

However there is one that we might buy.... my husband is involved in a small indie wrestling promotion, and has thinning hair. The spray on hair in a can is something we'd love to buy. Not because it's good -- because it's SO CHEESY looking, that it would fit right in with his wrestling manager character. Especially if we went with the totally wrong color.

That's the one that comes with the in-the-egg-scrambler and the egg slicer if you call now!

I love that commercial! I want one.

That egg cracker is one of the funniest ads,
they make it look like people are cracking eggs with their feet!
What messes they make doing a simple task.
If you have that much trouble cracking an egg,
PLEASE stay away from any knives!!!

Cars...... I don't know why, because I'm not a huge car person, but I always pay attention to car ads.. nothing else really entices me much.

It certainly isn't all the perscription medicine ads.

If I have to suggest a drug to my doctor, I probably don't need it.

The Lipitor ad comes to mind.

GROSS FOOD.

We've been cutting back our junk food consumption and only eating healthy meals. Which is all fine and good until we decide to watch television and start craving McDonalds and Pizza Hut.

Jerks.
