??? Birds know, we dont. #2! Leave it! I had a rabbits nest under a deck which was always used. I had mourning doves build a nest 6 feet up near contruction trucks that came in with Top soil and mulch.

You touch that nest and the mommy bird will suffer because they have to start again and she's pregant with birds. Let them be and enjoy nature. Just make sure nobody touches that tree for a month or two.

Thanks for all the advice and info. I decided to remove the nest... then to leave the nest... then remove the nest... then.................

I left it. Hoping mainly for the birds, partly for me, it turns out ok.

Thanks again.

Great decision. Take pictures and watch the mother come feed the babies when they hatch. I bet the father is watching over them right now. I think the father Robin builds the nest then watches over them as she sits in it. Enjoy. They arent there that long

Default Quick Update

Mom, dad, and 3 baby robins left the nest on 7/18. What a terrific diversion for a month, having the nest 4-5 feet away. A real pleasure. Too many branches and leaves for good pics.

Good thing I asked the question here.
