I planted this tree about 5 years ago and wasn't sure what to expect since it's naturally a wetland tree, but it has thrived with little care, even during last years drought. The first year in the ground it didn't do much, after that it started growing... and this year it has really flowered. It's also super easy to air layer and make new trees. It's a shame Little Gem magnolia gets planted so often yet this tree gets very little attention...
