I know the book and movie are called ...Man in the Moon Marigolds, but Burpee changed the name to "...on the Moon" in 1974.
Anyway, I've heard Burpee no longer markets seeds for that variety, which they cultivated in 1954. Does anyone know of any other seed suppliers where I can buy white or nearly-white marigolds?

Why not? I spontaneously asked a lady at our local garden store if they had any, and she said she'd never heard of them. Then she checked the internet and announced that there was no such thing, that it was just a book title. So that sent me on a quest.
