Have you had any experience with MyHeritage for their records searching? They are based in Israel and are supposed to have international records and I wonder if I will find anything more there than on JewishGen. Obviously this would be for Jewish records.

I have done some searches on MyHeritage but you can't see children's or siblings names without paying. So before I pay, I would like to know other people's experience.

Thanks.

I have no experience with MyHeritage but quite a bit with JewishGen. JewishGen has a LOT of records... but the database is overwhelming. It's like going to Costco. You better have a specific list of what you're looking for, or you're going to get lost and easily frustrated!

Is there an option to pay for a 1 month membership for MyHeritage? Or a trial period? I'd go that route and see how you like it.

They have a free trial but they do not allow you to pay monthly: https://lp.myheritage.com/special-pr...ours-new-users

They allow you to browse what collections they have without an account though - I would just look through them and see if there's any collections you think you might need: https://www.myheritage.com/research/catalog - when I searched for keyword "jewish" there were only 7 collections.
