vermont

Just in case anyone can use this, I'm posting it here. (I think I'll take a dive in and look for ol' Phineas AGAIN!) Says it's good for one month free in honor of Vermont's 225th birthday.

Thank you for this.
I used it to locate my gggrandfather in Castleton, VT, but he already was married to his wife and they lived together in a home in 1850. I searched trying to locate anything before the marriage which might lead me to his mother, father, or sibs, but no luck. I have extensive info on her family but he immigrated from England, and it's alot harder to find anything on him.

But I do appreciate your posting this !

I'm sorry you couldn't find any more on him. Maybe it's back to ship's lists to find him! The only way he could have entered VT without coming on a ship was to arrive in CA and cross the border into VT.

Sometimes I find little tidbits by googling the person's name, dates, and name of town in VT. There may be a town history that makes mention of him.

(I didn't find anything on my Phineas either. Going to have to call the town where he was supposedly married.)
