I haven't seen any discussion on here regarding the changes Ancestry.com made to their Home page. Am I the only one unhappy with the changes?
As sorry as their Message Boards are, I use them and have quite a few marked as Favorites. When they worked, I liked seeing the boards with recent posts show up at the top of the Home Page. I know I can see them on the Message Boards page, but they are no longer sorted by most recent activity, so I'm forced to scroll through all of my Favorites to see if any have recent activity.
I was also disappointed to see nothing can be added to Quick Links, which I depend upon. I realize the existing ones are still present, but I wonder for how long. I also miss the "What's New" section of the Home page, just because I like to know.
Overall, the new version strikes me as being as visually ugly as Microsoft's fiasco with Windows 8. Thankfully, MS had enough sense to realize they'd made a mistake and corrected it in later versions. I don't expect Ancestry to care. All-in-all, for me it's a lose-lose. Just unloading, I'll get off my soapbox.

You can still view your favorite boards in order of recent activity, you just don't get the preview window with the list of topics on the same page: https://www.ancestry.com/boards/favorites/boards
So it's not quite as convenient, but it's not as hard as rooting around for which boards have been recently active.
This is really the only issue I have with the new homepage - I didn't really use it for anything else. When doing research, I go straight to my tree, or the search page. The homepage I only used for the social stuff - Member Connect and Message Boards. They removed Member Connect a while ago, and now the boards are gone too, it's pretty much useless. From now on, I'll just bypass it and go straight to whatever page I need.
I do not like the changes. I work on many things besides the few trees I have posted and the fact that "my tree" keeps popping up- as if that was the only thing I cared about- is annoying. I don't know how to get rid of it. I also don't like the idea that they have deep sixed quick links.
They should have a feature where you can define your own home research page. For example, there is one state that I constantly research in- why shouldn't that be bookmarked -as it were- yet I have to select it every single time.

Thanks. I had landed on that page previously, but the boards were not properly sorted. I noticed they are tonight so hopefully just a rare glitch. Overall, the message boards could use some serious work. I appreciate your feedback.
I'm not impressed with the page but I'll struggle through. I wish they would fix the other problems before messing with the front page.
