yeah, i think that person is from charlotte, based on the pic in the video. i made another vid but it'll be awhile before it uploads because it is 10 min long...
but i pronounced all of the words in bperone201's post and gave my 2 cents on how the words would be pronounced in the south and midwest/west.
I actually couldnt tell what city that was but he sounds like alot of folks around here.

Looking forward to it. I'll do another video eventually with all the bperone's words, too.

That's why I thought it was pointless at first for me to post, I wasn't curious to know- I'm always commented on the accent when I'm outside the tri-state area.
P1: "Are you from NY?"
Me: "No, the other side of the river"
P1: Brooklyn?
maybe you can use your phone to record your voice or a video if you don't have voice recording on your phone and then upload the file from your phone or drag the file from your phone to your computer and then upload it to youtube or usershare or something.
Yo, I didn't see this post. I think I'll try this.
YouTube - jamaica, ny
(ignore the music or turn it down because the lyrics are offensive...)
sorry about that too by the way lol. ignore the shaky cam, too. it was my first time using the iphone 4 cam.
I don't know enough about the tri-state/NYC area to have guessed you from Northern Jersey, but you do sound like you come from that area generally.
As for specific words that stood out to me because of differences in pronunciation, we say these words differently: Ramen, pecan, caramel, Caribbean, New Orleans, data. All the other words are pronounced the same, but with our different accents, of course.
Do you need a youtube account to upload - i can't figure out how to download. But also think my accent comes out more with words not on the original list. And i think i sound like the news anyway
