I'm curious about the smallest town you've lived in and how you liked it. I used to live in a village of 600 up north. The biggest city was 2000 people and it was about 40 minutes away.

I lived in a smaller city of 35000 too, but that doesn't count.

I find it funny when I hear people talk about cities of 200,000 as small towns, for me that's a real nice sized city.

As a kid, I lived in Castle Rock WA (about 1500 people at the time). For fun, we went to the "twin cities" of Kelso and Longview.

Yuba, WI Population 77
It was in a beautiful area of the state and had a town of a couple thousand 15 minutes away. It was a nice sense of community that everybody knew everybody. When I lived there there was 3 bars in town too. So one for every 25 people, not too shabby.

my hometown. where i still am. i grew up in the main town which has 600-700 ppl (city limits) and an unincorporated neighborhood of less than 200 (though its considered part of town zipcode wise). and currently live in an unincorporated neighborhood again that obviously has less than 1000. but the entire county has 19k.

The town I currently live in, Monterey, TN has about 3K but I grew up in a small community called Lovejoy which had about 200 people. Don't be jealous of my big metropolis.

Galena, Alaska. Somewhere near the Artic Circle. Galena is a village on the Yukon River populated by Alaskan natives, Eskimo's and at the time by Air Force personnel, Gov't workers thier families and some school teachers.. I was stationed at the Air Force Station there. (I believe the Air Force is no longer there) Total population maybe was 1000 - 1500 if that. I spent 1 year there and was very glad to leave. It is a time and place I will never forget. Definitely an experience and not a bad one. Could really save some money there.
