I'm going to move to either SF, Philly, DC or Denver. Single, 34 AA male who currently lives in Atlanta w/ no children and I have enough savings for min 6 months to get career going. Where am I going and why? Btw, I've already lived in NYC and Chicago and loved it! I've been in Atl for 4 years and need something different.

What are you looking for this time around? For example, Denver and Philly are very different cities, so it would be good to know what you're looking for

Denver is the easy winner here as it is the most different from your experiences and other choices. It's a beautiful city in a spectacular setting and offers a lot of things to do. It'd be your least expensive choice as well in terms of cost of living. Good luck!
Denver would be my choice. A good place to meet people of the opposite sex (especially when compared to Kansas City which is the area where I live right now) and there are plenty of people from other states and countries that populate the region. You should feel welcome in the entire Front Range of Colorado.
Your money will go further in Philly or Denver. SF is most diverse; DC likely the most AA success friendly IMHO. Philly would give you the closest to the NYC and Chicago feel but at a cost and size closer Chicago with slightly more NYC vibe when compared to Chicago if that makes sense.
On Denver I am unsure and others would be able to offer more insight I am sure.
Depends on what you're looking for. For me, I would rank them as follows: Denver, DC, Philly, and SF, but that's based on what I'd want. Your priorities may be different.
I've always done the big city thing. Manhattan for 6 years and Downtown Chicago for 1. I've lived in midtown Atlanta for 4 years and it has been 3 years too long. Not knocking Atl but it's not what ppl think. I've experienced it the fastest, most cultured way imaginaneable with unlimited resources at times and it's been ... Just okay. I know what to expect from San Fran and ultimately want to spend my golden yrs there. Denver wld be the smallest place I've lived since college but ppl on city data show it major props. Wherever I go, I'm a downtown dweller; we don't do burbs. I love it when u guys post pics of places.
