We have lived in Montana so I would buy something in there. It is beautiful and would be a great choice when you want to be alone. I would also pick Hawaii for a tropical escape. Maybe a condo in Minneapolis, love the midwest. Keep my place along close to Lake Superior. And then I would probably say France or Italy for the history, culture, and beauty. I would pick places that would broaden by perspective.
Id pick Savannah,Ga .I'd by a big mansion in one of the historic squares downtown. Then Washington D.C.NYC maybe but its too cold, too crowded. If there were a warmer alternative in the U.S.

Downtown Southport, NC (in one of the lovely old homes on a quiet, tree-lined street), New Zealand or Italy. If I were really rich, I'd just buy a home in each place.

Tons of money, or no money at all; I would stay exactly where I am right now.

Hmmmm, I think I'd split my time between a large ranch in northeast Texas and a home in the mountains somewhere in east Tennessee. I would want both of them to be within view of a lake or river.

International: Tuscany

US: Louisville, KY, where I live now. I have a lot of family and history here. Excepting Louisville, I'd like to have a big log cabin up in the Rocky Mountains.

I can't remember if I did this already? oh well,

In a different country I would choose Bergen, Norway... It is a beautiful fishing town in the Norwegian sea. Plus I have roots in Norway.

Here in America I would like to have a house in the Appalachians for Fall and Spring.... Maybe East Tennessee or New Hampshire near Mt. Washington...

In summer I wouldn't mind a place in Northern Wisconsin on one of the breathtaking lakes the state holds.... Maybe near Rhinelander or Minocqua.

In summer halfway when I'm not in Wisconsin I would be in Norway.

During Winter I would travel all over to each locale because winter is as just as beautiful as summer and fall.
