Which college campus located in or adjacent to the downtown of a mid to large sized city has the most beautiful, and well integrated into the city campus?

I'm going to have to go with NYU. It's easily one of the most expensive universities in the nation, but that goes with being located right in Manhattan.

USC is located close to DTLA, but the area surrounding USC royally stinks.

Boston University, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, and University of San Francisco all come to mind.

Cleveland State is very well integrated into Downtown Cleveland. In another life I wouldn't have minded going there (still might). I'd much rather have access to the dining, nightlife, and activities of a city in college than what I had, which is a small town where almost all social life is on campus.

University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh comes to mind too. While some may not think it fits in terms of city size, but Syracuse University would fit(picture 12): http://www.city-data.com/forum/35087815-post62.html
