Port St. Lucie certainly isn't my favorite place in FL, but if the family likes beaches it's surely a better spot than Houston. Galveston isn't much to write home about.

My suggestion is to ask your question in the relevant forum(s). If you want advice on moving to Chicago, this is the place. Otherwise, we're not much use here.

I have actually lived in Port Saint Lucie for over 20 years. I moved here when I was 12 and I am now 32 and I have not had any problems here. It has become a lot more populated in the last 20 yrs. But it is a nice place to live. I personally think Stuart or Jupiter are much nicer. Stuart is more crowded though. It is very hot here but coming from Texas I dont think that would be problem for you. Any question feel free to ask.. fairie0025@hotmail.com
