Least humid state / city east of rockies (hotel, areas)

I was looking at a map and based on what I believe . Not counting Hawaii and Alaska 37 of the 50 states have high humidity hot summers , 11 are relatively dry and great weather those are ( Colorado , New Mexico , Wyoming , Montana , Oregon , Washington , Utah , Idaho , Arizona and California and Nevada
Agree ? And is there anything east of the Rockies with compfortable summers
Depends on your definitions but areas at higher elevations are generally comfortable IMO. Northeast TN, western NC, southwest VA- Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, Abingdon, Mountain City, Johnson City, etc.
Humidity isn't really uncomfortable unless combined with high enough heat for the dew point to be above 60 degrees. Hence a lot of the Upper Midwest and the Northeast isn't really that awful in summertime.
The driest area east of the Mississippi is in Central Illinois and Indiana. Indianapolis is the only sizable city in that region. That said, summers are hot enough that they'll probably be more uncomfortable than somewhere which is much more humid but with a low dew point (like say Buffalo).
We aren't humidity free, but Wisconsin summers are about as perfect as they come. The only downside is they are a bit short relative to some other places and the winters are cold. But Wisconsin's summer weather is ideal.
It can still get pretty hot and humid in the northern Upper Midwest, and even into Canada. One of the worst night's sleep of my life was spent in a hotel room in Thunder Bay, ON with no air conditioning. In fact, it was the same night as the big East Coast/Ontario blackout in 2003.
