Anyone noticed that they only hire attractive females now for cashier positions? (home, casinos)

I’m a millennial and i’m not exactly the more attractive girl but I’m not ugly. But still, i’v noticed that every year more and more businesses are putting pretty faces in the front and average people in the back. It’s like a trend to make more money or something
I guess businesses think customers will more likely return if they see someone “hot” take their order. This is especially noticeable in shopping malls. Any thoughts or opinions? Are unattractive people without degrees doomed in seeking employment? Lookism, discrimination?
As superficial as it is, yes it is becoming more common. Probably doesn’t help you live in Southern California. there are many studies where healthy, fit people are more likely to get promotions over an overweight person doing 3x the work.

The real question is, what kind of people go to malls in the United States anymore? They are like so, 1980s!
I don't see this trend in retail..at least not where I live. I also didn't notice it when I lived in Las Vegas where the pretty girls gravitate to casinos and strip clubs...few wanted a low paying cashier job.
Don't see it where I shop. But, the particular industry could be a big factor. At the local home improvement store, unlikely. At a trendy retailer selling cloths, possibly.
If this is the best local businesses can do in the way of hot employees, I'm not impressed.
