The drive back from NYC/Philly to DC is intense. Super fast, really dense traffic, windy roads. Seems to have a lot of accidents. East coast drivers tend to be more aggressive than Texans, I guess because they have to be. Traffic is bad in texas cities as well, but the drivers there seem more absent minded.
NJ, NY, CT, and the Baltimore/DC area are very aggressive for drivers. As a NY'er, my experience is you either have to be proactive or get over to the right and hang out with the semis. Nothing worse than someone from Arkansas driving 5 mph below the speed limit in the middle lane... except another one in the left lane. I join the party except for those going 25 mph over the speed limit.

Oh I definitely get over. I meant even if I'm in the right lane, the person moving into the lane is super aggressive. I guess they're working on the assumption that you won't hit them. Basically, if people want in, they're getting in or you're hitting them.
