We will be losing our home soon due to foreclosure. I have owned every house I have lived in and have never rented. Can you rent with bad credit? We are thinking of relocating to Athens from Dacula because of my husbands job. We also need to save on gas.

Some places will rent to you with bad credit, but alot of the larger property management firms won't. Your best bet may be renting from a private party rather than a large complex, and offering a substantial deposit to ensure that you'll be paying on time.

Thanks, I'll try that. Its difficult because we have bad credit and a large dog that's part of our family. We'll see where we end up. Thanks again

Especially with the dog, you're probably going to have the best luck working with private owners with single-family homes.

Yea, if I were in your shoes with a big dog, I would rent from a private owner who has a house with a big back yard for him to roam in. If you explain your situation to the rental owner, he should understand even if he does a credit check and checks your references. Good luck!
