"Half of the 50,000 Central American youths were delivered by taxpayer-funded employees directly to their parents now living in the United States, and another third were delivered to people who said they were close relatives, said the July 3 article.

That new data was included in the 19th paragraph of a 20-paragraph June 3 article.
Top immigration officials choose to not heck if the relatives or parents who pick up the children are in the country legally.

Both New York Times articles described the border-crossing illegal aliens as “immigrants.” In fact, “immigrants” is the term for people who legally migrate into the United States.

The 240,000 strong-group largely consists of many mothers and young children, most of whom are now being flown and bussed to destinations near where they wish to settle. That new 240,000 number was included in the seventh paragraph of a 24-paragraph article.

This is the first time I've read or heard that 290,000 illegals have crossed the border into America in recent months.

To make matters still worse, taxpayers have been footing the bill to deliver many of these illegals to people homes across the country, some of whom are illegal themselves.

Despite what a few scummy politicians have said, I highly suspect that the vast majority of the 290,000 illegals will never be sent back across the border. And that truly disgusts me, because if it were up to me, I would have funded contractors to build a wall across our border with Mexico decades ago.

In my mind, this whole situation has long reeked of insane laws, insane policies and blatant liars and/or corrupt public officials who have no desire whatsoever to ever secure our border with Mexico. I detest just listening to their pablum and dribble.

The "wall" is a ridiculous argument. What about the ports? That's what we should really be worried about. Very few containers are actually inspected.

You simply can't get them all. You can't man the whole border. People will put themselves through much hardship and danger just to get to America. They'll keep coming in droves because the opportunity is simply too good. Why? Because America is awesome. The only real way to stop illegals from coming in is for this country to really suck.

I don't think they're coming to America because America is "awesome" they're coming because their country sucks and they're taking a shot that America is better. America can be scum of the earth, but as long as its 1% better than what they have, its worth the shot to upgrade their situation.

Don't worry; we're working on it. A couple more decades of nanny-state socialism and business-killing entitlements, and there won't be any opportunities for anyone here. We're already starting to see an outflow of wealth to more tax-friendly places like Singapore and Hong Kong.

290,000 Illegals Have Crossed The Border Since April. Are We Likely To Ever Ship Them Back?

Why would they ship them back? They're the one's that will help to keep the current government in office.

Except some people have morals and scruples and won't break the law for their own selfish gain while it hurts American families who are the rightful residents of this country.

We need to pull out all the stops to make our country secure. That means ports, airports and our borders. No one is suggesting that we can stop illegal immigration altogether but we should try to cut it back as much as possible. It isn't only those seeking economic opportunity that are coming here illegally but terrorists and criminals. I don't understand why the sympathizers to illegal aliens haven't thought about that? E-verify, denying benefits and birthright citizenship should put a halt to the economic opportunists reasons for coming here.

Looks like some busloads are being sent back, but the illegals vow to keep trying.

Hondurans Vow to Flee Again After Foiled Trips to U.S. - NBC News

Important steps to take to prevent this flood from happening.

1) change the law regarding birthright citizenship. There are many people who feel this is a misinterpretation of what it actually meant when the 14th amendment was added. That would put a stop to the anchor babies.
2) secure the border, and make deportation of everyone within 48 hours so we aren't saddled with having to feed, house and release them for future deportation hearings. Planes and buses on standby would be a lot cheaper than what we are doing now.
3) make it a crime to hire illegals and go after the businesses and individuals to do so. Confiscate their assets and apply the proceeds to anti-illegal immigration services.

If the benefits don't outweigh the perils, maybe more would stay in their own country and work towards making improvements at home.

And their countries are only too glad to see them go because they will send lots of US dollars back "home".

Honduras gets $58 million from the USG in foreign aid but $2 billion from the illegals sending money home.
And that $2 billion is 28% of their GDP.

And that is 2012 figures. You can only imagine that it has increased over the past 2 years since stealth amnesty got declared by Obama.

The day people act more than talk stuff like this will stop. Moderator cut: Off topic

Voter apathy has allowed the small voices to be the most loud. I have to give credit for minorities because they seem to be more active on their issues than many native born Americans that seem to cry a lot but do nothing about it.

So in some ways we get was we deserve. Take care.
