Do you think Michael Brown should have lost his life? I've heard examples used by people of "alternative" strategies Darren Wilson could have used in dealing with Brown. Such examples are

"He could have just tazed him"
"He could have left him alone after he started running"
"He could have shot him but not to kill him"

What do you guys think? Personally, if someone was reaching for MY gun, it's my life or theirs. People who are saying "this young boy should never have died" should be thinking "this young boy should never have played with his life"

Darren Wilson explains why he shot Michael Brown

If you don't want to die, don't reach for someone's gun who has it.

Furthermore, if police aren't allowed to shoot those who are a threat to them, what authority do they really have?

Michael Brown should not have lost his life for roughing up that shop owner and stealing the cigars but what was he thinking in attacking Wilson? I wonder if the "Gentle Giant" was actually a bully? He looked it when he strong armed that shop owner. He must have really been enraged when he was finally called on his actions.
Brown did not need to die if he had only used a bit of common sense and not gone for that gun. It is a real shame.

I think he should have tazed him or waited for backup. I find it hard to believe this teenager tried to attack a police officer. This is where we need video to see and hear what really happened.

This really belongs in P&OC, but there are already enough threads over there on the topic.
