Any society that has this much economic inequality and low socioeconomic mobility should offer its ordinary people more means to protect themselves.
The rich and ruling class in America own the government, and its police force and the military. The ordinary do not have the means to protect themselves. Yet the attention is focused on some average person down the street who wants to own firearm.
Give me a break. You run the navy. The ordinary in this rich-owned nation should have the right to own guns.
I'm not closing this as a "censorship." I'm closing this in an attempt to start bringing these threads back towards their original intent.
If you wanted this to be a debate, a better way to phrase this would have been with a question of "Do you think that limiting access to guns is biased towards minorities?" or something similar, along with a post that supported either a pro or con argument towards that stance.
As is, this thread is headed towards either a generic class based argument or a race based argument which does not belong in Great Debates, with no specific topic to debate.
