Last win: Polio, like 1959.

Previous: Korea, 1954. Guess that was a win.

Been a while, folks. We're on a losing streak.

Notice I didn't say looser. That's for those with the scoots.

Well, we got rid of TB, Smallpox, and a nice dent into Malaria, too.

So we have all those survivors now, but can't find ways to make their lives worthwhile.

Maybe a War on Maldistribution of Wealth is needed. The enemy has a pretty small army, but they've got all the guns and productive capacity and fortifications.

We could declare war on war, couldn't we?

I'd love to see a war on the "mal" distribution of wealth. Sure, they may have the guns and the "law" on their side, but guess what? They depend on the rest of us to support their lifestyle.

There's a very easy way to launch, fight and end this war without a single bullet being fired. All the proletariat has to do is to cease work, all at the same time, nationwide. Within seven days, society would grind to a halt - with no stores open, no way to obtain fuel, no airplanes flying, no cops patrolling the streets, no teachers to teach the rich people's children in school. Within a month, America would begin to starve, as the crops rotted in the fields with no one to harvest them, the electric grid would fail with no one working at the power plants. The airwaves would go dark with no one working at the TV and radio stations. Ditto for the internet...and for everything else for that matter.

Within 3 months, we'd be back to being a primitive hunter-gatherer society, the memories of our once "great" society rapidly fading in the collective human consciousness.

Do I want this to happen? Not really, as I happen to enjoy the comforts modern society brings. But if the rich continue to take advantage of the proletariat as they have been doing, us "proles" may very well decide to go on strike, permanently. And it won't matter how much money, gold or stocks a rich man has - it'll not do him a bit of good with no one working to support his lifestyle.

Let the rich stew on that one for a while...

If they stopped "declaring wars" they would have to remove the yellow fringed martial law flag from courtrooms and restore the Constitutional rights they have suspended. Don't hold your breath.
