I came across this and find it amazing just how inventive humanity can be when push comes to shove.

As far back as WW1 these vehicles used gas bags...

Talk about green transportation.

There is actually a BUNCH of petroleum left out there, it's just much more expensive to recover and refine.

I think you'll see people start shortening their commutes (what a novel idea!!!!!) and take fewer long trips on vacation.
