High Point University will get its own zip code (King: 2015, housing)

Starting in 2015, High Point University will have its own unique zip code. A surge in enrollment in recent years has led to the university receiving 93,000 packages this year, compared with 12,000 in 2007.
With anywhere between 500 and 600 packages arriving on campus daily.

The university will receive its own unique zip code starting Jan. 2, 2015.
The new zip code will be 27268.

I was over there last week and noticed HPU got their way and closed off Montlieu Ave and student housing is reaching over to Centennial. Then there is that wall that will one day rival China's.

Good. It's about time HPU students didn't have to rub shoulders with the plebes by sharing a postal code.

I'm not a fan of High Point which, is why I moved, and that wall around HPU screams "KEEP OUT YE COMMONERS!"

Funny how HPU has Martin Luther King programs and celebrations but is opposed to having College Drive renamed in honor of Dr. King. Says a lot about how they feel about progress.
