We are moving to Greensboro area next year and saw some houses in Whitsett would love some feedback.

Also the High school that is assigned to the area is Eastern HS and I did see it was rated poorly so we are still debating.

Thank you all in advance.

EDIT: I did see a few threads about Whitsett but they were a bit old.

Good luck with your research. It's a bit of a drive for me (Oak Ridge) to Whitsett. I've only been to visit my friends who live there, but it seems to be a nice place from the little experience I've had.

It's pretty small. Close to Burlington. Not a whole lot to it. I'd rather be in Greensboro, but not sure what all you are looking for in a town.

My sister lives out there in one of those developments. They like it, but the only grocery store is Food Lion. You'll go to Greensboro or Burlington to find one of the marts or Target.

It's basically an suburb/exurb and an exit off the interstate.

That looks like this: https://goo.gl/maps/Xs9QMR5QWrA2 (at least there is a Popeye's!)

And this:https://goo.gl/maps/EgysU1o4n3s

And this (technically many of these subdivisions are outside of the town limits):https://goo.gl/maps/GK4dQYrvd3S2

And last but not least, this: https://goo.gl/maps/TZhryAJi4gs

It doesn't really have a distinct downtown per se. While the community may have its true name and history, it's really a community that exists as a town on paper more than it is a town having a cohesive square that someone could walk around in and feel they are in an established downtown somewhere.

It's definitely not top of my list but just trying to keep my options open, nice houses over there though.

I live in whitsett it's a quite little city 12mins from downtown Greensboro 8mins from alamance crossing close to a lot but the city it self is very small. Right off highway close to Durham/Raleigh and Greensboro/Winston that's why I like it.
