If you had to pick a comparable city to Greensboro or Winston-Salem, which city would you pick for each? In terms of growth, population, industries, history, culture, demographics, etc.
I'd say Raleigh is a bigger version of Greensboro and Durham is a slightly bigger version of Winston-Salem. Charlotte is in its own league. Nothing in the state comparable to Charlotte.

I knew this was coming and your response was as expected. Greensboro is nothing like Raleigh, but of course you'd say that. They are not hardly comparable along any metrics.
Winston is more comparable to Durham, both being former tobacco towns and both having top private universities and similar demographics. When it comes to population growth, economics, and commercial/residential development, Durham has a much greater advantage over Winston.

Yeah, Raleigh and G'boro have almost nothing in common. And Durham and W-S have some superficial things in common, but if you've spent any time in both you'd quickly realize they aren't really similar.
