But the economy is improving. This would be a perfect time to showcase just how great the $787 billion stimulus worked. Either way, i'm still glad to see 500 new jobs created even if they're temporary ones. Every little bit of extra income helps especially when it doesn't involve my tax dollars going towards it:
3 Hour Wait Reported At BMW Job Fair - Greenville News Story - WYFF Greenville (http://www.wyff4.com/news/24166228/detail.html - broken link)
I'm hearing from a friend in Greenville that the unemployment office is not looking any better then BMW's job fair.....told there was a line stretching out into the parking lot this morning along with a news crew!!
Had thought that things would be better by now....
That IS the BMW job fair - it's being held at Greenville's One Stop office, and the lines were described by the news reporter I watched as people attending the job fair. BTW - one reason there are so many seeking those jobs is that jobs at BMW (even if not directly employed by BMW) are among the most sough-after in the entire Upstate. I'm sure many in line there and others applying for jobs there are already employed elsewhere.

Today on the radio, I heard a man interviewed at the job fair whom had just moved to the Upstate from Columbia and is hoping to land a job at BMW. He was unemployed in the Midlands for six months. I wish everyone in his situation the best.

Ooops. Somebody got tripped up and now exposing their Columbia/Charlotte/Orangeburg roots.
I wonder how long the lines are at The Cheesecake Factory in Manhattan, err, I mean White Plains. LMAO!!!!
