Can anyone in the Greenville/Spartanburg area recommend a good safe, clean hotel. Friends will be arriving at the GSP airport and we are going to spend a few days with them. I am not looking for a Doo Drop Inn or anything right at the airport as we will have our vehicle and provide transportation for our friends. I hope to find a two bedroom suite or adjoining rooms. Just not a roach motel, dope dealers or prostitutes and I don't want my car stolen. LOL Greenville or Spartanburg either one will do.

Thanks you for any info.

I would look at hotel options on Pelham Rd, Haywood Rd, or downtown ($$). I can't comment on Spartanburg hotel options.

We always stay at Marriotts (mostly for bonus points) and have never had a problem. We have stayed numerous times at the Courtyards near Greenville -- the one on The Parkway near the airport and the one near Haywood Mall. Courtyards are clean and nice without having as many amenities as Marriott Hotels so they are less expensive.

Also stayed once at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Spartanburg when visiting Wofford College. Not as exciting nor as walkable as downtown Greenville but still nice. They have underground parking so that wasn't a problem.

I'm fairly sure they all offer adjoining rooms but not sure about suites.

Have a great trip.

Homewood Suites off of Woodruff Road and I-385 is a great option, and it's walkable to several restaurants, including Cracker Barrel and Chipotle.
