What are your thoughts about this elementary? Does anybody have any children attending? How hard is it to get in?
I have a 3rd grader and would like to transfer him next year.

I don't know any children attending, but as an engineer, I'm impressed by the curriculum, and can't wait to see followup studies to learn how it affects those students. Also that it's a county school, and not a private school.

Some of those who were camping in line already have one child enrolled, and would like to get another child in.

Parents No Longer Camping Outside For Chance To Enroll Child In School

As a result of the campout, they may have to change from first-come to a random lottery drawing. I don't personally see the need for a Black Friday style lineup for enrollment applications.

I live close to this school (although zoned for Sara Collins) - AJ Whittenberg and its grounds look fantastic and its adjacent to the Swamp Rabbit trail and the incredible new Kroc Center - I really see this area being transformed/renewed over the next decade - what a great addition to the city of Greenville!

By the way, I love the mascot, AJ the Robot!
