I know that building was still occupied/in use in 2001 as they wound up sticking the orange barricades around the doors after 9/11. But, doesn't seem like it was too long afterwards that it was.. seemingly abandoned.

Does the US Government still own that building? Seems there'd be some fair interest in purchasing that land to build something rather than letting it sit.. Though, I could certainly see that site being useful for a replacement of the Laurens Rd Post Office if the government is going to keep it.

Just wondering if anyone knows what's up with that building/land.. Any plans for it?
