Not massive, but definitely positive for Laurens. In subjectivity it may be massive to Laurens. No rule of thumb on what is.

That's the smallest of 3 announcements for Laurens in the past week or so.

Project Picket Fence is CCL Industries in Canada.. Which owns a portion of Avery Dennison.. Basically they're going to bring in about 98 jobs.. Which replaces the 85 jobs that left when Avery Dennison left Laurens earlier this year.

Project Zeus, which did not have the company revealed.. Would lead to about 45 full time and 40 part time positions and represent a $15 million investment.

Laurens could just about double the number of jobs there now and still need more. One of the highest unemployment rates in the state. Many people, such as myself, commute to Greenville or Spartanburg or Greenwood for jobs.

Jobs are good. Especially if they're is a high employment rate in that area . Glad to see jobs coming to Laurens. Their is subjectivity to the term massive. Sarcasm aside.

4.5 million and 30 jobs is massive? If it'd been 100 what would it have been? A world wonder making Greer a world renowned city? Geez you guys must be on acid.

To a small town like Laurens which is badly in need of jobs, this could be massive to them. That's called subjectivity. If you were so much smarter than us, you'd understand that.

Laurens County will take anything it can get.. Yes, ZF has come in.. Sterelite came in 10 years ago or so.. But, look at what's been lost.. Torrington closed their entire plant in Clinton.. The.. Not Herff-Jones, the other class ring company.. Jostens.. They've pulled out.. Avery Dennison has left.. It's been bad times for Laurens County.

Palmetto Bank's IT center is in Laurens and an awful lot of the people who are working in it don't live in Laurens County. The population is very manufacturing based so far as their training.

30 jobs is 30 fewer unemployed people.
