I'm assuming you're an adult with no children staying in Greenville (the Upstate is incredibly spread out), some activities:
(I'm so sorry you have to be "stuck" here)
Falls Park - the pinnacle of the Upstate's revitalization
Visit Greenville's amazing
downtown (and
eat/shop at some of its fantastic venues)
Swamp Rabbit Trail (http://greenvillerec.com/parks/swamp-rabbit/ - broken link) - walk, run, bike, roller blade for over 17 miles on a
paved trail - you can even
rent bikes from multiple shops
Enjoy an afternoon and go to the
Zoo at
Cleveland Park
Check out the
Calendar of Events
See the
Greenville Convention & Visitors Bureau for much more information
For your retail/shopping needs, Greenville has: Trader Joe's, Costco, Total Wine, Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Fresh Market, Apple Store, REI, and others.

For areas outside of Greenville (still in SC):

Zentrum is only open M-F, I'm unsure about factory tours)
Visit the fantastic downtown areas of
Greer and
Traveler's Rest

county and
SC state parks
Fish, boat, sail on some of the most expansive lakes in the East (Lakes

Visit some of the most concentrated
waterfalls in the country at the SC/NC border
Tour the incredible
Symmes Chapel ("Pretty Place")
Greenville is a "foothills" location and offers easy access to the mountains of SC/NC - other interesting venues (outside of the Upstate):

Dupont State Forest: great hiking and waterfalls
Blue Ridge Parkway
